Hit-and-run in Mississauga, male pedestrian gravely hurt

A man has been rushed to a hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police (PRP) officers were called to the Hurontario Street and Britannia Road East area just before 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Paramedics tell CityNews the man’s injuries are considered serious.
Police tell 680News Radio it appears the man was cutting across the road when the driver hit him.
Britannia Road East is closed from Hurontario Street and Whittle Road for the investigation.
