Health Canada has issued a recall for a range of plush toys due to a potential choking hazard.

The recall applies to elephant, giraffe, lion, tiger, and panda plush toys, each featuring an attached baby toy. Customers who have purchased these items can return them to the retailer for a refund. The affected products bear the item number P272585 and UPC code 8140239986.

According to the recall notice, "Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that these plush toys do not meet the Toys Regulations under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. The hard plastic eyes can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children."

No injuries related to the use of these toys have been reported in Canada so far.
