A weather advisory has been issued for the Greater Montreal area, with 10 to 15 cm of snow forecasted.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) anticipates the snow will begin late Monday and continue into Tuesday morning across southern Quebec, affecting Montreal, Montérégie, Lanaudière, Laurentians, Outaouais, Mauricie, Centre-du-Québec, and the Eastern Townships.

"Be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions," the ECCC warns. "Exercise extra caution when walking or driving in the affected areas. If you must drive, be ready for poor visibility in some spots."

On Monday, temperatures are expected to reach a high of minus eight, but with wind chill, it will feel closer to minus 19.

The snow is expected to taper off early Tuesday morning, giving way to a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will remain around minus nine, with wind chill feeling closer to minus 17.
