These bars and restaurants in the Village will be open until 6 a.m. to celebrate New Year's Eve

Montreal's Village is gearing up for an all-night celebration to welcome the new year.
The Village's Business Development Corporation (SDC) announced that nearly 20 bars and restaurants will remain open until 6 a.m. on January 1, allowing partygoers to bid farewell to 2024 and greet 2025 in style.
"This initiative reflects our ongoing dedication to the vibrancy and inclusiveness of the Village's nightlife," said Gabrielle Rondy, General Manager of the Village SDC, in a press release. "The success of the October 12 event highlighted the community's enthusiasm for these extended celebrations. By ringing in the New Year, we’re reinforcing this growing tradition and emphasizing the Village’s pivotal role in Montreal's nightlife economy and culture."

To ensure a safe celebration, the SDC has partnered with the Groupe de Recherche et d'Intervention Psychosociale (GRIP), which will provide a mobile unit and substance analysis services during the event.
